Rapid Intake Acquired by Callidus Software



Callidus Software (News - Alert) has expanded its eLearning capability by acquiring Rapid Intake. An announcement in this regard has been made by a top company in Sales Performance Management or SPM, Callidus Software. Rapid Intake is the top company in the collaborative rapid e-learning authoring.

In a release, Leslie Stretch, President and CEO of Callidus Software, said, "Given the scale and value of sales effectiveness solutions Callidus now provides to global organizations, the addition of a leading mobile eLearning capability is a major differentiator in our market. High performing sales forces conduct high frequency training and learning."

According to Stretch, product and process learning on any device needs to be accessed by the company’s plus salespeople anytime, anywhere to optimize their work performance. Easy-to-use award-winning mobile platforms like Rapid Intake are in demand as the demand for learning is on the rise. A one stop shop for SaaS (News - Alert) eLearning and mLearning tools is now provided to the company’s customers with this acquisition along with the Litmos Learning Management solution.

Stretch said, "The acquisition adds more than 200 customers with annual plans, bringing Callidus' customer base on some type of annual plan to over 700 strong. Rapid Intake also has 800-plus transactional customers. With over 30 percent growth in our core SaaS SPM business in the first half of 2011, these additional customers represent a significant cross-selling opportunity for the company."

Callidus extends its position as the top company in the high growth mobile learning market through the acquisition. The value proposition of the company’s core SaaS sales performance management suite is also strengthened. The company’s growing 2.5 million user base will be also provided increased cross-selling opportunities.

According to Garin Hess, CEO of Rapid Intake, open e-learning development is delivered by Rapid Intake with its unique e-learning solution. Any team member, subject matter expert, or project stakeholder from anywhere in the world can access this easy-to-use collaborative solution.
