INFRAX Systems Announces Creation of Acquisition Subsidiary

INFRAX SYSTEMS, Inc., a global provider of interrelated operational management, and communications related products and services for the telecommunications and energy industry, has established a new subsidiary company for Merger and Acquisitions: INFRAX Acquisition, Inc.

"The Board recently agreed with our plan to establish an entity for strategic acquisitions”, said Paul J. Aiello, CEO of INFRAX, in a statement.

Aiello said that INFRAX has operated in the telecommunications sector for several years and the creation of an acquisition subsidiary will facilitate the company’s entry into other infrastructure segments.

INFRAX, with the subsidiary, will be targeting Smart Grid technology companies, last mile facilitators and various partners to deliver its new and existing products.

Earlier this month, INFRAX Systems announcedthat it is making the management of communications infrastructure easier and more cost effective for utilities, companies and municipalities with its new OptiCon SaaS (News - Alert) program.

The new OptiCon On-Line application offers clients a robust Internet-based infrastructure management solution with minimal IT investment.

OptiCon On-Line delivers a complete version of INFRAX's flagship OptiCon Network Manager directly to a client via a secure Internet portal.

The software, tailored for use in a hosted environment, will be housed at a remote location and is available two ways: as an application fully hosted and supported by INFRAX or an INFRAX integration partner.

OptiCon On-Line users will not have to make a front-end investment in buying, installing and configuring hardware and software, reducing capital expenditure.
