Webtrends Acquires Reinvigorate, Strengthens its Portfolio

Mobile and Web analytics firm Webtrends has reportedly bought real-time analytics company Reinvigorate from Media Temple Ventures.

The acquisition of Reinvigorate adds real-time analytics expertise to Webtrends’ offering of mobile, social and Web analytics and engagement solutions.

Reinvigorate also brings in new data visualization technologies such as heat maps, link maps and visitor path analysis to Webtrends analytics solution portfolio.

Following the acquisition, Webtrend becomes the first analytics company to offer real-time and deep historical analytics for mobile, social and web channels.

Media Temple Ventures is the investment group of web hosting and virtualization solutions company Media Temple – its portfolio also includes Virb.com, MobileRoadie.com and Krop.com.

"With the acquisition of Reinvigorate, and the addition of real-time analytics capabilities to our portfolio, we are once again leading the pack in breadth of product. In addition, we're adding a talented team led by Sean McNamara that has rich experience in digital analytics and product development," said Alex Yoder, CEO, Webtrends.

The other real-time analytics service providers are ChartbeatWoopraClicky and Mixpanel.

"This is just the first step in an ongoing partnership with Webtrends. We will continue to collaborate to ensure that Media Temple also benefits from this marriage of technologies through a future offering of Webtrends analytics directly to our Media Temple customers," said Demian Sellfors, CEO, (mt) Media Temple Ventures.

Just last month, Webtrends announced a latest version of social suite which promises companies to help change the way they marketed their brands on Facebook (News - Alert).

Webtrends confirmed that it will continue to offer the Reinvigorate solution to existing Reinvigorate customers.
