The global provider of integrated ICT solutions and services, Logicalis (News - Alert) Group has acquired Netarx, an Auburn Hills, Michigan-based managed services, data center, collaboration, and infrastructure design solutions provider. Netarx caters to the businesses throughout the Great Lakes and Arizona.

Both Logicalis and Netarx are going to benefit from the acquisition. Logicalis already has a strong presence in the Midwestern markets. Post acquisition, nearly 170 technical and services delivery professionals from Netrax will be joining Logicalis’ already strong international technical team. This enhanced capacity will help Logicalis further strengthen its presence by expanding its IT consulting and services business, enhancing Logicalis’ Managed Services capabilities and adding a robust Tier 1 Service Desk.

Our roots in the U.S. were laid in Michigan nearly 15 years ago and the Netarx acquisition continues our growth in the Michigan market while blending important skill sets and methodologies that enhance our service offering across all of Logicalis’ geographies,” president and CEO of Logicalis Terry Flood noted in a statement.

As a result of the acquisition, Netarx clients will gain access to Logicalis’ outsourced services, cloud computing and data center management solutions across the United States. Being a part of Logicalis family, Netarx is going to significantly gain from Logicalis’ international presence, financial strength, longevity and technical expertise. 

Both the companies seem to share common customer-focused strategy and corporate culture. As such the merger of the two companies is expected to yield future growth for both the entities.

In business since 1997, Netarx has curved a niche in the industry with its range of IT services, innovative tools used to monitor mission critical network environments and remote operations services that help clients take a proactive approach to IT. In addition to Michigan, Netrax also has technical and sales staff in Arizona, Indiana and Ohio. According to the company, since its founding the company has grown to achieve annualized revenues of nearly $60 million.

Earlier this week, Logicalis UK announced the launch of ImmersiV, a complete portfolio of cloud-hosted, Video-as-a-Service (VaaS) offerings.
