Elevate to Acquire RiteWwire to Enhance Support, Commercial Integration Capabilities

A subsidiary of Highland Business Services, Inc., and a provider of broadband-based digital services Elevate announced that it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire RiteWire, Inc., a commercial voice, video, data and security integrator.

The move is expected to give the company a stronghold in the national technical services and installation market by adding valuable integration capabilities in its portfolio. Elevate currently caters to 22 major U.S. markets and plans to open 28 more in 2012.

According to Elevate, RiteWire, which was formed early in 2010 to meet the substantial commercial demand for integrated, low-voltage planning and installation, implemented projects in California, Georgia, Texas, Virginia, the Carolinas, Colorado and Nevada.

RiteWire’s exiting CEO Rod Place will join Elevate as chief services officer, the company said. He will be responsible for managing residential and commercial technical services operations throughout the company. The company has a $4.5 million projected revenue target in 2011.

RiteWire, a digital integration contractor, has provided services for clients for companies including Diebold, Microsoft, Siemens (News - Alert), and Linq360. In addition, it has engaged directly with Healthspot, the Chicago Palomar and New York Intercontinental hotels, and the Cosmo Casino in Nevada.

With the acquisition of RiteWire, Elevate will be able to substantially augment the capabilities of its independent sales and support network, providing them with best-in-class planning, coordination and installation resources, according to company officials.

“We are pleased to add an established and proven integration capability with the acquisition of RiteWire and excited to welcome an experienced industry veteran like Rod Place to our growing team,” CEO of Elevate Wright Thurston noted in a statement. “Rod has been pushing the technological envelope for 20 years, and knows complex network build outs as well as anyone in the industry. His experience – and the engine that he has built in RiteWire – are important additions to our company.”

“RiteWire is about intelligent and forward-thinking network design and implementation, so it only makes sense to align ourselves with the most intelligent and innovative services provider in the industry,” Place added.
