Offering critical enhancements to the Coupa platform, mobility enhancements and two new core capabilities, Coupa Software (News - Alert), the fastest-growing provider of cloud-based spend optimization software, has unveiled Coupa Release 8.

With Coupa 8's powerful new capabilities, the company has made it even simpler to manage spend and maximize savings. It's easier for Accounts Payable (using the company’s new Invoicing module), easier for road warriors (an iPhone (News - Alert) app for expense reports), easier for Contract managers (Smarter Contracts brings contracts to life!), and easier for, well, just about everyone (over 30 major enhancements to the Coupa Procure to Order platform).

The company has also taken its existing contracts support (including a secure access single repository with advanced search and reporting), and included a long list of features that eliminate the contracts and bring them to life for users.

The first new capability, Coupa Smarter Contracts, assists users in realizing savings from negotiated volume, find out how much they’re spending against a contract and make sure their spend is within their budget. Alerting customers to critical commitment timelines, it enforces negotiated prices at the time of requisition, automatically tracking spend and savings.

Recently, the company announced the "Coupa Gives Back" program. Up to four select not-for-profit organizations will get no-cost usage of Coupa's Cloud Spend Optimization product each year, as part of the program. Coupa promotes its current customers and partners ("product donation sponsors") to nominate qualified applicants ("product donation nominees") for the Program.
