Lumesis and Investortools Team Up, Offer Municipal Bond Data Analytics

Lumesis, Inc., a company offering timely data and robust analytical tools for fixed income markets, recently signed a product-linking agreement with its new partner, Investortools, Inc. – a software provider – to jointly offer Municipal Bond Data Analytics to a wide clientele.

The partnership will let Investortools clients using CreditScope Municipal Edition software easily connect to Lumesis' SaaS (News - Alert), a cloud-based DIVER program. In addition, Investortools will offer its users data mapping and other analytical tools available through DIVER.

These features and tools help fixed income market professionals identify risks in their portfolios, recognize opportunities in the market and significantly enhance the decision-making process.

Gregg Bienstock, Co-founder and CEO at Lumesis, said that the data sets, robust visualization and analytics from Lumesis' DIVER platform complement Investortools' CreditScope reports to give fixed income professionals expanded credit analysis capabilities.

"In a market where financial reporting is, in many cases, stale by the time market participants have access and lacks defined standards, this linking of products allows credit and research analysts, risk managers and others to perform more in-depth analysis by referencing expanded economic and demographic data from independent sources,” Bienstock added. “This approach will enable them to effectively respond to investors' heightened sensitivity to credit risk and increased demand for yield in a market suffering from declining supply and returns."

DIVER offers more than 130 data sets from more than 30 distinct sources. It promises to offer timely and meaningful demographic and economic data that influence the fiscal health of states, counties and other municipalities. DIVER includes Data and Portfolio Visualization tools, Data and Portfolio Analytics and a Notification Application to keep abreast of continuing disclosure filings.
