Paychex Launches Paychex Mobile Smartphone App



Paychex, Inc. recently announced the release of its Paychex Mobile smartphone application, which will be available for iPhone (News - Alert), Android and BlackBerry users.

The app will offer Paychex clients a number of powerful tools that help with instant management and productivity, while employees will benefit from on-the-go access to personal payroll, benefits and retirement information.

“Paychex is proud to continue the expansion of its Software-as-a-Service offerings with the launch of Paychex Mobile,” said Paychex president and CEO, Martin Mucci (News - Alert). “The app allows users to access their Paychex payroll, benefits and retirement information, when, where and how they want – directly from the palm of their hand. With the launch of Paychex Mobile, we look forward to meeting the evolving needs our clients, while maintaining the personal service they rely on every day.”

Some employer features include Payroll Journal and Cash Requirements reports; employee contact list, with one click; Employee check stubs and W-2 Forms; e-mail and call capabilities; employee time-off balances and retirement administrator views.

Paychex Mobile offers an optimized screen to help with easy viewing that allows users to connect to a customized dashboard of important tasks, including a number of employer or employee-focused features. 

Some employee features include FSA balances and reimbursements, check stubs and W-2 Forms; time-off balances; retirement balances, loans and contributions, and basic personal information.

“Our smartphone strategy continues our practice of offering features that benefit all Paychex user groups, our clients, their employees and the accountants who serve them,” said Michael Gioja, Paychex SVP of information technology, product management and development. “The Paychex Mobile smartphone app, along with our existing tablet app offerings, demonstrates our commitment to helping business owners, and their employees, use mobile technology to its fullest potential and we look forward to even more advancements in the months ahead.”

Those who want to use the application must create a Paychex Single Sign-On account and have either an Apple iPhone or iPod Touch with iOS 4.0 or later, an Android smartphone with Android OS 2.2 or later, or a BlackBerry (News - Alert) 7.0 or later along with internet access.
