May 23, 2012 Integrates Professional Networking App BeKnown from Facebook for Better Employment Searches

Monster, which highlights job opportunities for a variety of suitable candidates, has integrated BeKnown – a professional networking app on Facebook (News - Alert) – with the popular employment hub.

The app can be accessed in 34 countries in North America, South America, Australia and Europe. Monster’s semantic search technology will help candidates search for the right jobs and find out if they are connected to suitable openings via their Facebook and BeKnown contacts.

“We’ve now combined the power of Monster’s search technology with BeKnown, our professional networking app on Facebook, as another great way of connecting employers and seekers that doesn't exist elsewhere,” said Sal Iannuzzi, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer at Monster Worldwide.

The site’s integration also gives greater reach to employers. Their range in social recruiting will put themselves in focus in a professional network which boasts nearly 901 million members of Facebook.

Monster’s endeavor to connect people and opportunities by all means possible is highlighted by this new integration. Job seekers and employers are now connected through the Web, mobile and social media.

BeKnown networking operating on Monster lets members uncover job openings from inside connections at over 300,000 companies. They can also search for jobs and get the most appropriate match at the company they want to work.

Job applicants can also view and apply for jobs and examine contact connections. They can create a professional networking profile, available on Monster and the BeKnown app on Facebook. Users can control their profile visibility and network connection invites on Facebook. Job seekers get to network according to preference. They can isolate their personal and professional lives and set required privacy features.

Employers also benefit from BeKnown networking, integrated with Monster. They can automatically expand social recruiting reach to get the best talent via referrals and invite recruiters and employees to join BeKnown, effectively increasing referral opportunities.

Users can also access public profiles linked between Monster and BeKnown, in order to gain insights into latest candidate information and engage with members when they are online – whether on Facebook or Monster.

Monster recently announced the organization of an Innovation Day in March, 2012 to highlight emerging issues regarding the global skills gap and its endeavor to find a solution.
