Anybill's Pay it Forward Platform Helps Spread Joy

Anybill's “Doing Good is Good for Business” mentality was on full display this past holiday season as the accounting automation software provider lived up to this motto by helping two young mothers have a happy season.

The company sponsored the women through the Healthy Babies Project’s (HBP) Adopt-a-Family campaign. Anybill showed keen interest in HBP's mission to help the underserved D.C. women and employees volunteered their time and resources to buy them gifts through Anybill's “Pay It Forward” platform.

Rochelle and Diamond, two mothers living on already stretched household budgets, were provided with gifts from Anybill employees. The gifts were distributed at the HBP Christmas celebration at the nonprofit’s District headquarters on Dec. 20, 2011, at which time Anybill team members got to meet with the mothers.

“If it wasn’t for what I received from Anybill,” said Rochelle, 21, “I wouldn’t have had a Christmas.”

According to the company, the benefits of efficient business process “aren't meant only for business and can be applied toward rendering social service.”

“We’re honored to have met and helped (Rochelle and Diamond) through our collaboration with Healthy Babies Project and Adopt-a-Family,” said Peter Bepler, president and co-founder at Anybill.

Bepler added that the Pay it Forward program is central to the company, and philanthropy is a core characteristic of the employees. He said he looked forward to becoming more involved with HBP in 2012.

Regine Elie, executive director at Healthy Babies Project, Washington, D.C., also looks forward to a continued relationship. She said, “We’re very grateful to Anybill and our other corporate sponsors who provide ongoing, loving support to the women and families we serve.”

In related news, Anybill Inc., launched an online philanthropy community engagement hub and took a significant step forward in corporate social responsibility. This portal is unique in that it provides a small firm (47 employees) with a sophisticated community support platform previously found only in large organizations.
