Air China Uses CyberSource Payment Security and Fraud Management for International Hotline

CyberSource (News - Alert) Corporation, an eCommerce payment management company and wholly owned subsidiary of Visa, today signed an agreement with Air China, China's national airline. Under this agreement, CuberSource will provide the airline with payment gateway and fraud management services for its international sales and services hotline.

Air China's international sales and service hotline has locations in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and the Philippines in an effort to provide better service to its travelers. Currently, this hotline is supported by CyberSource's international payment gateway and risk management services, which will extend to the interactive voice response (IVR) system to be rolled out gradually in four other markets.

"It is an honor to be a part of Air China's newly launched call center solution," said Poon Khye Wei, regional director of Greater China and Korea for CyberSource, in a statement. "Payments that are made via Air China call centers' IVR system, supported by CyberSource payment gateway and fraud screening solutions, will protect Air China from fraud and keeping sensitive payment data off Air China's networks. This same CyberSource connection can also be used by Air China to support other payment channels as Air China scales its operations."

CyberSource's fraud management technology boasts the world's largest fraud detection radar, including over 250 tests for fraudulent activity, which are completed within seconds. The company's payment gateway and payment security services, meanwhile, facilitate cross-border transactions in any number of payment types, currencies and transaction environments.

Air China stated that CyberSource's participation in its hotline is critical, as it offers a high-quality, convenient method of handling over-the-phone transactions.

Earlier in the year, Facebook extended its agreement with CyberSource to use its Payment Management Platform for credit and debit card payments.

Around that time, the company's Payment Management Services completed Oracle Validated Integration with Oracle's (News - Alert) ATG Commerce Suite 10, enabling ATG customers to quickly adopt CyberSource's payment management services.
