Voltage Security and PwC Provide Financial Risk Management

A non-exclusive joint business relationship has been announced by Voltage Security and PwC US. The data protection needs of companies with large, complex payment supply chains, as well as large merchants with legacy infrastructure resources, will be served through this relationship.

Information risk protection and overarching compliance management will be provided to the customers by the two organizations in collaboration. Voltage data protection products will be provided systems integration services by PwC. The services provided will include end-to-end encryption and tokenization. Global opportunities with focus on U.S and North America will be served with this relationship.

In a release, Mark Bower, vice president of product management for Voltage Security (News - Alert), said, "By working together we can well serve the needs of healthcare, traditional enterprise and retail payment customers. This ensures that these customers will receive the best of both PwC and Voltage; PwC brings their deep experience in risk management and business process re-engineering and Voltage brings our rich security technology portfolio and expertise."

Mark Lobel is a PwC principal and head of PwC's U.S. security and payments practice. According to Lobel, any organization dealing with complex, extended, payment-centric businesses processes will be benefitted with this relationship. The processes could either be internal or external. This relationship will benefit organizations that treat information protection on a high priority. Lobel added the company looks at the relationship as an ideal way to expand the company’s capabilities. Emerging new technologies such as Voltage's end-to-end encryption will be supported by these capabilities.

A webcast titled "Fact versus Myth -- Encryption and Tokenization Demystified" was held Nov. 10. Along with the special guest, John Kindervag from Forrester Research (News - Alert), PwC participated in this discussion with Mark Bower from Voltage Security.
