ProfitLine Adds MyDeviceManager to Telecom Lifecycle Management

ProfitLine, a provider of outsourced telecom lifecycle management or “TLM” solutions, has announced its new MyDeviceManager Mobile Device Management Services or “MDMS” as an additional service to its TLM 360 services at the Gartner (News - Alert) Wireless, Networking & Communications Summit.

The new services included in ProfitLine’s telecom expense management initiatives provide an end-to-end solution to meet the growing challenges for enterprises embracing telecom productivity through adoption of a mobile environment.

The more diverse and complex the mobile environment, the higher the costs and risks. However, with smart planning, adoption and policies, enterprises can strategically use mobility to communicate anytime and anywhere, while also managing costs to keep them from skyrocketing out of control, Phillip Redman, co-author and Gartner Research vice president, said.

MyDeviceManager Mobile Device Management Services are essential part of a holistic lifecycle approach to managing today’s enterprise mobility environment, the company said.

ProfitLine’s (News - Alert) solution meets the challenges felt by larger enterprises that lack a consistent way to manage and enforce the policies amongst a growing number and variety of devices beyond Blackberry--such as iPhone, Android (News - Alert), Windows Mobile, and Symbian, the company said.

The solution addresses the concerns of the companies that lack dedicated resources to perform reactive management of devices whether Blackberry Enterprises Server attached or ActiveSync-attached.

MyDeviceManager Mobile Device Management Services also addresses issues like time consuming user support demand, needless system interruptions, and unnecessary long resolution cycles, the company said.

“IT teams are struggling under the flood of prosumer demands from mobile workers wanting to connect various device types to the corporate infrastructure,” Eric Januszko, SVP of Technology for ProfitLine, said.  “We designed this service to give IT a way to increase their flexibility and be more proactive while still addressing corporate security and policy requirements through specialized outsourcing of these devices support needs.”

Telecom expense management or “TEM” when combined with MDMS, enables enterprises to offload the management, monitoring and support of their complex mobile environment while maintaining security and optimizing costs, company officials said.

The combined solution provides powerful benefits such as 24/7 single point of contact for the entire device lifecycle and mitigated risk through regulatory compliance and policy enforcement.

The powerful solution also reduces time to activate, update, troubleshoot and decommission devices. It also provides complete issue resolution, enhanced end used satisfaction and connectivity, as well as more timely data for decision making and cost management, maximizing cost identification and optimization.

“Our goal is to turn telecom into strategic asset for our clients,” Andreas Schenck, ProfitLine chief executive officer, said.

Earlier this year ProfitLine announced it has been awarded a contract by BT Global Services (News - Alert), a provider of communications solutions and network IT services, to provide technology and systems that support BT's global mobility spend management solution.
