Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Unveils MBFS App

In-vehicle infotainment has come a long way in the last few years. From merely playing audio and video, in-vehicle infotainment now includes helping drivers find the route to their destinations and much more.

The customers of Mercedes-Benz in the United States will now have the additional facility of using an in-vehicle account management app in their cars. The company has introduced a new app named MBFS, and it will be available to customers who have installed the COMAND Navigation. They should also have a subscription to mbrace2 with Mercedes-Benz Apps.

Mercedes-Benz plans to add this app automatically on its cloud-based infotainment system on model year 2013. Customers can register their account online at mbfs.com and start using their MBFS account in-vehicle with the help of My MBFS app. They can then use any of the account management features by logging in using the app.

The mobile account management solutions from Mercedes-Benz provides customers with various features, such as viewing account information, making monthly vehicle payments, finding out what’s new at Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, and finding a dealer. Users can download the Mercedes-Benz Financial Services App for their iPhone (News - Alert), iPod touch or iPad. They can also visit mbfs.com from their smartphone.

“The same great account management features we provide on our My MBFS smartphone app are now available in Mercedes-Benz vehicles," said Michael Kanzleiter, senior manager of marketing for MBFS. "As a result of this launch, we are now the first auto finance company offering customers account management through an in-vehicle app. Today, more than 20 percent of our customers' online account management activities are taking place on mobile devices. We are seeing more than a thousand customers daily logging in with a mobile device.”

Recently, the company deployed the contract management system (CMS) of the NetSol financial suite (NFS).
