edge IPK, the insurance industry’s user experience platform (UXP) designed to provide the optimal user experience to any insurance user, recently announced that edgeConnect has been selected by Intact Financial Corporation, a Canadian provider of home, auto and business insurance. According to the officials from edge IPK, edgeConnect will help Intact Financial Corporation to improve the customer experience.

edgeConnect helps insurance, lending and banking organizations deliver a wide range of front-end business solutions providing accelerated return on investment and with far more intrinsic flexibility for change than has traditionally been possible. It eliminates the costly and time-consuming effort of writing code to develop business process solutions. edgeConnect also takes care of hackers, something insurers need to think about when they expose their back end systems beyond their walls.

edgeConnect focuses on the “Presentation Layer” allowing business analysts to create browser based applications without the need for knowing script languages like Active Server Pages or Java Server Pages. In addition to this, the user is shielded from development considerations for online, offline, portal and composite applications. It also provides the capability to auto generate screens from databases, XML schema and Web service definitions (WSDL), thereby dramatically accelerating development times.
