ValeCard is going to make use of IBM (News - Alert) PureSystems to reorganize its datacenter operations and record keeping and at the same time realize gains in performance, security and scalability.

ValeCard is a Brazilian provider of management services benefits, covenants and fleets via electronic payment and the company is reportedly growing at the rate of above 40 percent annually over the past three years and to cope up with this growth it wanted a robust infrastructure to manage thousands of transaction records from contracts with large companies and government entities and also comply with ever changing regulations and standards.

ValeCard acknowledged that with IBM PureSystems it will have the freedom to grow, increase its availability, allow the creation of a hot environment for disaster recovery and steer itself in the right direction by using new technologies such as cloud computing.

IBM PureSystems is explained as a suite of expert integrated computing systems designed to radically simplify enterprise computing by making it easier, more secure and less expensive to own and maintain. With it, companies can realize new means to nullify the complexity of enterprise IT, reduce costs and encourage innovation and the solution is designed to allow businesses to slash the high costs and nagging complexity associated with managing information technology.

ValeCard will also be receiving the IBM SmartCloud functionality as part of PureSystems and will leverage it to bring down operating costs and quicken development time and delivery of new environments for the user.
