The recently released Paragon Report takes a close look at investing opportunities for companies within the Technology Sector and also includes detailed equity research on Alcatel Lucent (News - Alert) SA and Tellabs, Inc.

The report found that 4G LTE, fastest mobile system technology, provides extensive growth and expansion opportunities for companies within the technology sector. Demand for 4G LTE (News - Alert) networks has seen a rapid surge across the globe and this trend is set to further explode. Currently, only nine percent of Asia Pacific operators deploy commercial 4G networks which indicate massive growth opportunities for technology companies.

In a report from ABI research, it was found that only 10 operators out of a total of 110 networks ABI looked at had deployed 4G LTE networks. While 58 operators were planning on rolling our LTE networks and/or is in the process of conducting trials. The report said that countries such as Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore had deployed 4G networks while Australia, Japan, and South Korea were in the process of deploying 4G networks.

Jake Saunders, ABI's vice president of forecasting, in the report stated, "We estimate total Asia-Pacific mobile capital expenditure to reach US$53.3 billion by the end of 2012. 62 percent is still very much earmarked for radio access network deployment. Other key investment areas include EPC and gateway upgrades to the core network at nine percent, as well as improving in-building wireless coverage into dense urban centers at 5.7 percent."
