Wall Street & Technology App Available on the iPad



News and commentary about financial technology from Wall Street & Technology is now being offered for iPads, according to company statements.

It is available on iTunes, the App Store from Apple (News - Alert), according to a company statement.  

The application offers information on such topics as: trading, data/security, risk, exchanges and CIO. The app lets users share content through e-mail, and social media sites like Twitter and Facebook (News - Alert).

WS&T's iPad App also “optimizes content and navigation for the iPad,” the company said.

Among the features of the new app: it lets users browse similar content and share articles with a “full set of tools.”

The new app is the second branded application from the InformationWeek Business Technology Network. The first application was the InformationWeek iPad App, which recently marked 10,000 downloads, the company said.

The company also plans to introduce more financial services brands in June such as: Bank Systems & Technology, Advanced Trading, and Insurance & Technology.

“The Wall Street & Technology iPad App delivers the latest news and analysis to financial services professionals in an easy-to- read format that is optimized for the iPad,” Greg MacSweeney, editorial director at InformationWeek Financial Services, said in a recent statement carried on TMCnet. “With adoption continuing to increase, and iPad usage becoming part of financial professional's daily workflow, this iPad App also allows users to connect Wall Street & Technology content to their social networks and e-mail.”

In other news about iTunes, the Weatherford, Texas, ISD has launched a gateway to keep staff, parents and the public informed about the school district. The Weatherford ISD iPhone (News - Alert) app was launched on April 6 on the iTunes website, according to a report carried on TMCnet.

The new app is free of charge for all iPhone users, TMCnet adds.
