Oracle Debuts Oracle Financial Services Data Warehouse

To help the financial institutions around the world to better maintain their financial data warehouses, Oracle has unveiled Oracle (News - Alert) Financial Services Data Warehouse.

The Oracle Financial Services Data Warehouse’s comprehensive financial services data model draws upon over 15 years of implementation and “real world” experience from around the world, the company stated in a press release.

The Oracle Financial Services Data Warehouse is a new approach to data modeling and data warehousing and is built on years of global tier-one financial services domain experience. Also, to specifically address the complex and cross-functional analytical challenges of global financial institutions, the solution is pre-built for rapid deployment, purpose-built for end-use decision making.

“Next generation data warehouse initiatives in financial services demand a new approach that starts with the end use in mind. The focus now shifts from the indiscriminate, tedious capture and stewardship of all data, to the speed and specific context in which comprehensive decisions must now be made,” said S. Ramakrishnan, group vice president and general manager, Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications.

To readily access crucial information across the entire organization, Oracle Financial Services Data Warehouse helps financial institutions with detailed insight into the customer, finance, compliance and risk-related data and activities needed to address comprehensive reporting requirements.

It also addresses an institution’s analytical needs in risk, finance, compliance and customer insight, the company stated. Customers can readily deploy a pre-built, comprehensive, conformed and end-use proven data model by leveraging Oracle Financial Services’ deep domain experience in global tier-one institutions.

In April 2010, TECU Credit Union Co-operative Society Limited, a Caribbean credit union company operating for more than 60 years in Trinidad and Tobago, deployed Oracle FLEXCUBE Universal Banking. With Oracle FLEXCUBE, the credit union has replaced its custom-built legacy core credit union solution and standardized on industry best practices to help it improve and expand service to its more than 30,000 members, and adapt rapidly to changing market and regulatory requirements.
