BBS Featured In Training Magazine's Top 125 Training And Development Programs For Ninth Straight Year

BOWE BELL + HOWELL (BBS), a leading provider of high-performance document management solutions and services, has earned a coveted spot on Top 125 list of training and development programs listed by Training magazine, a primary business publication for learning and development professionals. BBS has achieved the feat for ninth straight year.

"This recognition underscores our commitment to training and education, and we continue to make significant investments in these areas to ensure we're providing the best possible support for our customers," said John Tarascio, BBH chief operating officer, in a recent press release.  "Many of our instructors have worked in production mail environments and bring real-world insights into the classroom. This helps our associates quickly identify problems and recommend proper solutions, and that's a real advantage for the customers we serve."

"The BBH University curriculum includes extensive training not only for associates, but our customers as well. Our goal for customer training is to provide them with the skills and expertise to enable them to achieve the expected and optimal levels of performance from their BBH solutions," said Lana Chandra, BBH executive director of Organizational Development and BBH University, in a statement. "We've integrated more e-learning and blended learning into our traditional instructor-led curricula to support our long-term on-demand learning strategy, and we continue to review and evaluate programs to ensure we meet the changing needs of all our clients."

The basis of forming Training Top 125 is myriad benchmarking statistics such as total training budget; percentage of payroll; number of training hours per employee program; goals, evaluation, measurement and workplace surveys; hours of training per employee annually; and detailed formal programs. There are various qualitative and quantitative factors that determine the rankings. Some of these factors include financial investment in employee development, the scope of development programs, and how closely such development efforts are linked to business goals and objectives.

Training magazine will reveal BBH's ranking in the Top 125 at its annual conference in February 2011.
