American Express OPEN Launches ReceiptMatch

American Express OPEN (News - Alert), a payment card issuer for small businesses in the United States, recently launched the ReceiptMatch feature that will be available as a part of every business card from American Express (News - Alert) OPEN that matches images of business card receipts to transactions to online statements.

The purpose of designing such as feature is to enable businesses to organize their business card receipts on the go.

Doug Tabish, vice president of American Express OPEN Small Business Charge Cards, remarked, “Our small business customers rely on their Business Cards for a greater portion of their business expenses and want a Card that seamlessly integrates into their business operations. ReceiptMatch offers concise back-office support and is the only expense management solution that gives business owners the ability to match each Business Card receipt to their American Express OPEN Card statement.”

ReceiptMatch is stated to be the latest feature for small business owners with a business card from American Express OPEN, such as The Business Gold Rewards Card, The Plum Card and The Business Platinum Card. Card members will be able to enjoy benefits like customizable spending limits on employee cards and expense tracking facilities from one location, easy access and management of the business card account to review statements, capability to download all transaction activities to accounting solutions like QuickBooks, Quicken and Microsoft (News - Alert) Money and more.

The feature matches business card receipts to transactions by scanning the receipt for information like the purchase date and amount. All users have to do is send in receipts from their business card purchases by snapping a photo with the mobile app installed on the iPhone or Android (News - Alert) phone, forwarding via e-mail, or uploading receipts from a computer. If the uploaded receipt image is identified with the transaction details from a user’s online statement, it will be noted as matched receipt and it will be visible as a clickable image with transaction details.
