IFS Applications Help Emirates Manage New Engine Overhaul Facility in Dubai

Emirates, one of the world’s fastest growing international airlines with one of the youngest fleets in the sky, recently opted for IFS Applications 8 solution, to manage its new engine overhaul facility in Dubai, UAE.

Founded in 1983, IFS is a public company that develops, supplies, and implements IFS Applications, a component-based extended ERP suite.

IFS Applications 8 will help Emirates support all business processes including maintenance, repair and overhaul, and corporate performance management. Emirates’ overhaul facility in Dubai will cover 90,000 square meters and will serve as the company’s in-house engine overhaul facility.

Officials confirmed that the implementation of the IFS Applications 8 solution will be completed in the first half of 2014. The Overhaul facility, when fully operational will service up to 300 engines per year.
