Rockfish Unveils YouEarnedit

Allowing employees to appreciate and recognize each other online, Rockfish has introduced YouEarnedit, a SaaS (News - Alert) platform.

YouEarnedit is a platform that allows employees to give their coworkers points for work well done. Rockfish calls them “virtual high fives.” Employers come up with a rewards catalog, which includes items that help them to select employees. The selected employee earns points. These rewards can be anything from gift cards to restaurant vouchers to Porsches. While administrators can track real-time data through an analytics system, users can track their points via YouEarnedit’s dashboard.

The company got the inspiration to create YouEarnedit mainly because of the success of an internal program that offered employees a certain amount of points to give each other throughout the year. The points were a personalized message of thanks. The points could be redeemed immediately for items in the rewards catalog. They can also hold them for more expensive items, the company stated in a press release.

“Things can move very quickly around the office and we didn't want hard work to go unnoticed so real-time peer-to-peer recognition has become a large part of our company culture. With YouEarnedit, we made it easy for everyone in the company to appreciate a colleague in a meaningful and measurable way”, said Founder, Kenny Tomlin. “As for the platform, ease of use for both the administrator and the end user were critical, and we think YouEarnedit gets both of these right.”

In 2011, WPP Digital, the digital arm of WPP, agreed to acquire Rockfish Interactive. According to the companies, the transaction is subject to regulatory approval and the approval of Rockfish's shareholders.
