Lumesse Completes Acquisition of Edvantage Group



Lumesse, a global player in integrated talent management solutions, has successfully acquired SaaS (News - Alert)-based e-learning experts Edvantage Group.

With this acquisition, Edvantage Group will bring Lumesse world-class capabilities in learning management, content development and management, online content delivery and custom course development.

In a release, Josh Bersin, President and CEO of Bersin & Associates, said, "The acquisition of Edvantage Group by Lumesse will give the company a set of global, proven solutions for learning management, content development, and learning services."

Both the companies, since the initial announcement of the acquisition in early October, have been working on integration plans as well as joint commercial opportunities.

Matthew Parker, CEO at Lumesse, said, “The market reception for this acquisition has been excellent, with strong interest from customers on both sides. Our intention is to bring the capabilities of the Edvantage products quickly into our Lumesse TalentLink and Lumesse ETWeb integrated talent management solutions. Learning and development are increasingly seen as key components of an effective talent management strategy, by helping to retain great people, develop their careers and build increased business contribution.”

Officials said that the acquisition will accelerate the global growth of Lumesse, strengthen its leadership in Europe, extend its product set and increase its customer base by over 200 new companies to a total of over 1,900 in 70 countries worldwide.

With the help of this acquisition, Lumesse will be able to broaden its products further to include Edvantage Group’s learning management system, award-winning content authoring platform, extensive range of on-demand content, and its custom developed e-learning programs.

Customers of Lumesse, will also be able to easily provide formal, informal, social and mobile learning opportunities to employees as a part of a fully integrated talent development strategy.

In related news, Lumesse has announced to launch products with fully integrated Talent Management Solutions in 2012.
