Monitis Acquired by GFI Software

A pioneer in cloud-based network and systems monitoring solutions, Monitis has been acquired by GFI Software. Affordable end-to-end systems monitoring is provided by GFI for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). This ability of GFI will be further strengthened with the acquisition. Heterogeneous IT infrastructures either on-premise, hosted or in the cloud can be now managed through GFI’s one-stop shop. An announcement in this regard has been made by GFI Software.

In a release, Walter Scott, CEO of GFI Software, said, “Today’s acquisition shows our commitment to expanding our solutions, helping our customers succeed in the rapid uptake of cloud-based services. As more and more SMBs adopt cloud computing, GFI is diversifying its own product portfolio to ensure we continue delivering the technology that ensures our customers remain leaders in their fields.”

According to Scott, companies are able to cut costs and streamline operations with cloud computing. An unprecedented layer of management challenges is however added by cloud computing. A great fit for these challenges is offered by Monitis.

Cloud-based software and infrastructure monitoring are the specialty of Monitis. A complete infrastructure view is provided by Monitis’ solutions to time-pressed IT administrators and IT support companies. The performance of on-premise and off-premise infrastructure and applications can be monitored, tested and managed by users with Monitis.

Monitis is relied upon by over 80,000 users across the globe. Monitis services monitor and maintain over 200,000 websites and cloud-based applications. Each day, over 40 million checks and records are also created by Monitis.

According to Hovhannes Avoyan, CEO of Monitis, capital, expertise and business resources are made available to Monitis by joining GFI Software. Monitis will be therefore able to make their products stronger. Features and functions for growth of customers’ businesses will also be invested by the organization.

Avoyan said, “GFI is a leader in the network monitoring and management market in the SMB space, and our solutions strongly complement one another now and will be increasingly interconnected as cloud computing continues to grow.”

The business will continue its operations under the Monitis brand following the acquisition.
