BDA Announces the Acquisition of MUNITIO

Bensussen Deutsch & Associates, (BDA), has announced that that the company has acquired San Diego-based MUNITIO, a precision sound control company specializing in mobile lifestyle electronic accessories.

MUNITIO earphones combine innovative style and superior performance and are dubbed the "baddest earphones on the planet". Featuring Kevlar reinforced premium fabric cables and 24k gold plugs, the earbuds are made from 9mm titanium-coated bullet casings. For sound purity, innovative design and the quality of the company's products, music and fashion enthusiasts around the globe have positioned MUNITIO at the forefront of the premium audio accessory market.

“We're absolutely thrilled to be adding a brand of the caliber of MUNITIO to our family.   This partnership creates a strong force in the consumer electronics space," said Eric Bensussen, BDA co-founder and president.   "They're true innovators.   We're ready to combine efforts to grow the MUNITIO brand and its distribution channels. Robert and Daniel have engineered an entirely new experience and culture around audio accessories.”

The MUNITIO acquisition provides a perfect way for BDA to breakthrough into the lifestyle mobility space – a category set for explosive growth.   The past few years have shown that consumers continue to spend on high-end mobile devices like tablet computers and cell phones even in a challenged economy. To enhance their audio/video experience, those same consumers demand the best accessories.

Recently, the company announced it has reached an agreement to be the preferred U.S. merchandise supplier for FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME). FME is the brand extension arm of FremantleMedia, one of the leading creators and producers of entertainment brands in the world. BDA is the first marketing company to be awarded a master agreement for all FremantleMedia brands in the U.S. FME will utilize BDA to develop and execute merchandise to support marketing programs for such properties as American Idol.
