Assurant Employee Benefits has released an enhanced Benefits Tools mobile app, wherein dental insurance cards can be viewed directly on the smartphone. Patients will not be required to carry the dental insurance card physically while visiting the dentist, as the card can now be printed, faxed or e-mailed to the dentist via the Benefit Tools app.

Android and iPhone (News - Alert) users can now avail the enhanced mobile application, with extra facilities like Find-a-Dentist and Find-an-Eye Doctor, for free. Smartphone users can easily locate dentists and eye doctors in the vicinity of their current position using the app, which utilizes Google (News - Alert) Maps technology. Users are also provided the option to search for dentists and eye doctors using zip codes. Users can also purchase applicable personal dental plans via the app, which directly connects to Assurant Employee Benefits.
