Recognizing the power of social networking that is fast pervading the corporate structure, PageUp People, a multinational talent management solutions provider, has enhanced its social media capabilities by integrating with Facebook and LinkedIn (News - Alert).
The move by PageUp highlights the growing importance and relevance of social media as a key to recruiting and job search strategies and how valuable a tool it has become for both job seekers and recruiters, according to company officials.
As a result, employers can easily post open positions to Facebook (News - Alert) and LinkedIn without having to leave the familiar sourcing interface and features of the PageUp People system, which provides an opportunity to interact with potential employees and expand searches for the right candidate.
"With the integration of social networking, we have made it possible for recruiters to capitalize on the ever-increasing power of social networking to attract the best candidates to their organizations,” said Karen Cariss, CEO at PageUp People.
Cariss further added that such integration also allows clients to analyze statistics regarding daily visits to their job listings received from Facebook and LinkedIn and see how effective their social media recruiting efforts have been.
With more than 845,000,000 active users on Facebook and over 100,000,000 on LinkedIn, decreased visits to the company's websites but increased visits to their social media sites, it does seem that the power of social media must be acknowledged.
The press release goes on to add that those companies that don't have a strategy in place for recruiting through the social media will miss out on the chance to interact with potential candidates in the millennials and Gen Y demographic groups.
With a 15 year history of helping employers overcome the challenges of recruiting across multiple countries, PageUp People claims that it helps employers maximize employee value and business results.
