ON Semiconductor Selects ClioSoft's HCM Platform for Enterprise-wide Deployment

The ClioSoft SOS (News - Alert) hardware configuration management (HCM) platform has been selected by ON Semiconductor for enterprise-wide deployment. ClioSoft’s HCM platform will enable data management and version control for different design flows which also include the Cadence Virtuoso Custom IC and Mentor IC Station design flows.

In a release, Dr. Hans Stork, CTO at ON (News - Alert) Semiconductor, said, “After an extensive evaluation, ON Semiconductor has chosen ClioSoft SOS for its intuitive use model, tight integration with the major EDA platforms, and superior capabilities. We anticipate that the corporate-wide adoption of ClioSoft SOS for mixed-signal and digital product development projects will result in a significant improvement in design efficiency across all our development centers. We are confident that ClioSoft will accelerate our product time-to-market while improving overall product quality.”

ClioSoft’s HCM platform provides benefits to hardware designers including: recognizing and managing composite design objects; a better understanding of IC design protocols; a creation of work areas featuring symbolic links which enable sharing of data; and an optimized use of disk space. Additionally, the platform facilitates collaboration among multiple sites and makes it easy for users to share, look-up, and reuse IPs and PDKs from across the enterprise. The ClioSoft HCM platform can also integrate with leading design flows and can manage data from virtually any design tool.

Srinath Anantharaman, founder and CEO of ClioSoft, said, “ON Semiconductor’s broad portfolio of products requires a large team of engineers spread across several sites throughout the world to work together efficiently. We are proud to help their design teams collaborate effectively and enhance the sharing and management of design data and IP across the enterprise.”
