RiseSmart Launches SmartRedeploy Solution



RiseSmart, a provider of next-generation outplacement and recruitment process outsourcing solutions, unveiled SmartRedeploy, a Software-as-a-Service “SaaS (News - Alert)” solution to help employers reassign, rather than lose, valuable talent.

This means that employees affected by a reduction in workforce might have opportunities within their own company – if the employer can match the candidate to the job opening quickly and efficiently.

“RiseSmart leverages a common technology platform to accelerate time-to-placement for laid-off workers, through our outplacement solutions, and time-to-hire for employers, through our recruitment offerings,” said Sanjay Sathe, founder and CEO of RiseSmart.

When a company has positions to fill, searching for talent among employees affected by layoffs in other parts of the organization may be time consuming. The process of combing through candidate data is often too much of a burden to make the goal achievable in a timely manner. SmartRedeploy streamlines this process to make matching talent to internal positions easier than ever.

“SmartRedeploy represents the most direct way to achieve both of these objectives – an SaaS solution that ensures employers don’t let valuable talent slip out the door as a result of inefficient information-sharing, which unfortunately happens all too often today,” Sathe added.

With SmartRedeploy, employers utilize RiseSmart’s intelligent search engine to match available openings with employee skills, certifications, experience, education, and location. SmartRedeploy returns a list of potential internal candidates, as well as a prioritized ranking based on closest match. Hiring managers can make notes, attach documents, and search a variety of data fields to find a candidate with a specific skill or a candidate in a particular location.

SmartRedeploy enables companies to redeploy employees subject to workforce reduction to areas needing critical talent; utilize portal to automatically match open positions to internal candidates across multiple criteria; compare candidates from internal and external talent pools in a single view; and search for a candidate by name, department, title, skills or location to redeploy them to a different position.

Organizations can receive automated matches of former employees for open requisitions; build a searchable alumni database, review resumes and contact former employees for re-hire; and advertise and highlight their open jobs to affected employees to give them the option of applying.

In July 2010, RiseSmart made available Transition Concierge To-Go, its mobile app for laid-off workers, in the Android (News - Alert) market.
