BigMachines Unveils the Latest Version of its SaaS Platform



BigMachines, a provider of product configuration, pricing and quoting, proposal generation and B2B ecommerce, announced the launch of BigMachines 11.1.

The latest release of the company’s SaaS (News - Alert) platform, BigMachines 11.1 enables sales teams, channel partners and resellers to configure products, generate quotes and proposals, manage complex pricing, generate legal contracts, submit and manage orders efficiently and securely.

“With each product release we deliver additional value to BigMachines customers by providing software that is more powerful, more secure, and yet easier to use,” said David Bonnette, president of BigMachines, in a statement.

“We continually seek customer feedback and design our releases with the customers’ business needs in mind. We encourage all customers to upgrade to BigMachines 11.1 and expect that those who do achieve even greater user adoption and see increased business productivity,” Bonnette added.

The addition of features was implemented after collecting feedback from BigMachines. The company collected customer feedback through My BigIdea innovation Web portal, regional Customer Success Forums, and voting on most-requested enhancements during BigIdeas Customer and Cloud conferences in the United States and Europe.

Leveraging BigMachines 11.1, customers will benefit from fast, dynamic user experience utilizing new AJAX configuration rules as it enables dynamic updates without the need to refresh Web pages.

Another advantage of the solution is that intuitive drag and drop interface allows for easy reordering of product and part line items during commerce process. Streamlined Document Engine administration offers enhanced flexibility in designing document layouts for proposals, contracts and other sales documents.

Recently, PLATO Learning, a provider of education technology solutions, deployed BigMachines to automate product selection, pricing, approvals and proposal generation for PLATO's customer finance consultant team. PLATO chose to self-implement the BigMachines Selling Platform, replacing their existing quoting and pricing tool.
