- Alert) Global Commerce Solutions, a provider of retail store technology, recently showcased its portfolio of point-of-sale solutions, which focus on mobility and the meaning of mobile commerce for the future of retail.
Launching at NRF, Toshiba is expanding relationships with business partners including Tolt Solutions, providing clients with access to increased omni-channel retail applications, such as clienteling.
The TCxAmplify mobile solution for consumer mobile shopping and associate line/queue busting will also be featured. This mobile application changes the way consumers shop and allows retailers to provide an engaging, interactive experience for their customers.
Cheryl Williams, VP of Digital Commerce & Innovation at Wakefern Food Corp., which operates 300 supermarkets under the ShopRite, PriceRite and the Fresh Grocer banners, said in a statement, “We see mobile technology as an opportunity to enhance the shopping experience in our stores and build loyalty among our customers, Toshiba’s mobile shopping solution is helping us to reach our customers in a new way, with greater convenience, personalized communications and promotions throughout their store visit. An independent study by Edison Group examines the dust and lint collection in three POS products, along with the impact the retail environment that can have on durability and reliability of retail hardened systems. The study states that the Toshiba system requires less frequent maintenance and lower maintenance costs for the lowest total cost of ownership among the units tested.
