The automotive manufacturer Borbet Alabama is the latest company to embrace Ceridian’s payroll, workforce management and human resources management solution, Dayforce Human Capital Management.
One of the largest aluminum wheel manufacturers, Borbet Group serves several automobile companies around the globe. The company has a massive workforce housed in different facilities across the three continents in Africa, North America and Europe. As a large manufacturer, Borbet said, it was natural to invest in an application like Dayforce, which it expects to save time, control costs, engage employees and increase productivity.
As opposed to a collection of disparate human resource management systems reliant on fragile interfaces, Dayforce HCM provides a single, robust, real-time application with one employee record, one user experience and zero interfaces. The cloud-based solution is designed to streamline all human capital management needs through a single SaaS (News
- Alert) application. This is intended to accelerate business procedures and improve efficiency and accuracy, ultimately driving business results.
Because of its multi-facility presence, Borbet explained, the wheel manufacturer has always found it challenging to move employees from one facility to another. Dayforce HCM is expected to enable the managers and supervisors at Borbet to easily transfer employees from one business unit to another according to its needs.
Enabling managers to plan and forecast labor requirements, align schedules with labor demand, and allow for accurate time tracking and compliance, the application looks to provide administrators with greater visibility and analytical insight into labor usage.
“Lack of visibility on our labor costs, because of the manual nature of the previous system, was affecting our ability to budget and forecast properly. Our management team made the decision to replace our legacy human capital management system with one that could provide better visibility and analytical view of labor costs to all management levels. After evaluating Dayforce HCM, we determined it was the right fit for our needs,” Human Resources Manager at Borbet Alabama Toni-Marie Hedge explained in a statement.
Earlier this year, Ceredian announced that Allen Edmonds Corporation, a manufacturer of men's footwear and accessories, had gone live on Dayforce payroll, workforce management, benefits and human resources to increase efficiency and save time.
Also, Ceridian's Dayforce Human Capital Management: Payroll and Benefits was recently named a Top Human Resources Product of the Year by Human Resource Executive Magazine.
