Aruba Networks Adds Seven New Financial Services Apps to WorkSpace Partner Program

Bring your own device (BYOD) trends are enabling employees of the world to be as mobile as they like. But some companies are struggling to make these devices work together and create an environment that supports different operating systems.

Aruba Networks has added seven new financial services apps to the company’s WorkSpace Partner Program to expand its WorkSpace App Ecosystem and signify the company’s growing presence in the financial market.

The newly added apps are AsdeqDocs, Calltrunk, Framehawk, Onvelop, PDF Expert Enterprise, WatchDox and Webalo (News - Alert). The company already has another financial services app named SlideShark and it is already certified for Aruba WorkSpace. By adding these new apps to its WorkSpace App Ecosystem, Aruba Networks (News - Alert) makes it easier for financial firms to deploy BYOD initiatives.

According to the company, Aruba WorkSpace is the only mobile device management (MDM) solution to include network access, security and mobile application management (MAM) for BYOD. It also takes good care of security as it is equipped with strong encryption and enterprise-grade security.

WorkSpace provides support for one of the biggest ecosystems of enterprise mobile apps in the industry. It supports more than 40 third-party enterprise productivity apps and also numerous internally-developed apps.

“Financial services firms are looking to capitalize on the productivity benefits that the BYOD trend offers, but they have stringent security and regulatory requirements that must be addressed first," said Peter Cellarius (News - Alert), vice president of business development and partnerships, Aruba Networks. "In short, they must have a solid handle on the devices and applications connecting to their network. Combining Aruba WorkSpace with these popular financial services apps allows financial services firms to deliver all the productivity benefits of BYOD”

Recently, Webalo signed a partnership with Aruba Networks to offer safe enterprise mobility to its users. This partnership enables Webalo’s cloud-based, self-service platform to be configured for smartphone and tablet access.
