VineLight's Latest Business Intelligence Solution Fire Intelligence'13 Unveiled

Hosted business intelligence (BI) solutions provider VineLight Business Intelligence (VineLight) has unveiled the latest version of its BI system, Fire Intelligence (FI) ’13, with augmented features that improve fire departments' data management.

Vinelight’s FI is a BI solution that provides total insight into a fire department with fast dashboards for instant insight.

Launched to fire service in June 2012, the FI now offers more power than ever before, with the latest release of the software as a service (SaaS (News - Alert)), to truly understand how a fire department is performing.

Some of the augmented features included in FI'13 are effective response force, standard of cover, and mapping. The data collected is loaded onto the company’s BI server using an application called VineLight Eureka.

This facilitates all fire departments to load data from all of their disparate sources like risk management solution (RMS), computer aided design (CAD) and human resource (HR) systems to integrate their data in one dashboard for total insight into their fire data, cites Vinelight.

In addition, the FI'13 eliminates programming; creation of crystal reports; or preparing Excel pivot tables. All data is easy to incorporate into and analyze with a single click.

Paul Kent Graeve, principal of VineLight, said in a statement, "We released Fire Intelligence in mid 2012. Fire Service & organizations like CPSE have embraced the power of FI, and the incredibly affordable price. Now one year later, we listened to our clients and delivered our newest release FI'13 with more power and features to support accreditation and compliance to their own department's goals."

Additionally, FI is supportive to any Fire Department that is seeking accreditation. The Center for Public Safety of Excellence's accreditation process is meticulous and requires fire departments to provide peer assessors with tremendous amounts of performance data. These audits are not only time consuming, but also stressful. FI helps in easing this process considerably.

Roger Robinson, chief, fire department, Alcoa, Tennessee, said in a press release, "We were prepared for our audit and then they wanted other numbers, stressing out about how we are going to access these numbers. Using FI, we were able to provide accurate data in 20 minutes. FI made our data available at our fingertips."
