Envestnet Platform to Integrate HiddenLevers Application for Smarter Investment Decisions

Envestnet, a provider of integrated portfolio, practice management and reporting solutions to financial advisors and institutions, revealed that starting in June 2013, its unified wealth management platform will come with HiddenLevers' application.

The integration is believed to help investors make smarter investment decisions.

HiddenLevers is a financial technology company based in New York, building risk management and macro-economic analysis tools. The company’s toolkit includes scenario-based portfolio stress testing, macro scenario modeling, investment screening based on macro trends and client-facing reports and infographics.

"HiddenLevers has developed a unique macro-economic scenario-based portfolio testing methodology that delivers portfolio insight that is easy to use and explain to clients," Bill Crager, president at Envestnet, said in a statement. "This insight paves the way for advisors to be proactive with client portfolios, enabling better outcomes for the client and the advisor.”

As indicated, this integration will allow advisors to perform stress testing on client portfolios directly from the Envestnet platform to develop deeper insights into these portfolios which, in turn, will better equip them to acquire new assets and manage client assets better. HiddenLevers’ core technology maps the correlations between 130 macro-economic indicators, industries and securities, giving financial professionals news ways to achieve portfolio insight to deal with economic uncertainty.

Praveen Ghanta, founder and chief executive officer of HiddenLevers, mentioned that this unique approach to portfolio stress testing is aimed at enhancing Envestnet's investment process. Ghanta also said the purpose is well-aligned with the company’s mission of broadly empowering the wealth management process and enabling advisors to achieve the highest standards in portfolio and practice management.

According to another recent release, Stewart Capital Advisors (SCA), a subsidiary of S&T (News - Alert) Bancorp, Inc., forged an agreement with Envestnet to list the company's products on Envestnet's portal.
