Glenbrook Partners Appoints Elizabeth McQuerry as Senior Director

Glenbrook Partners, a payments consulting, education and research firm, has recently appointed Elizabeth McQuerry as a senior director. As a respected thought leader on global payments, she strengthens Glenbrook's strategy practice with additional cross-border payments expertise. McQuerry has experience in understanding core payments systems around the world and has worked with central banks, large and small financial institutions and payments services providers that are working to improve payments systems within countries.

Founded in 2001, Glenbrook is a payments strategy consulting firm that delivers a unique combination of specialized skills in electronic and mobile payments, years of hands-on operating experience in executive roles and an extensive network of trusted relationships to payments clients, merchant treasury, corporate finance teams and investors in financial services and financial technology. Its expertise in mobile payments, global eCommerce payments acceptance and fraud risk management helps its clients improve the profitability of their payments-related businesses.

"Our clients are telling us that international payments present one of their biggest challenges, but also one of the largest opportunities," said Carol Coye Benson, a managing partner with Glenbrook. "Elizabeth's expertise and perspective on these issues will be invaluable to our clients."

Before joining Glenbrook, Elizabeth was the head of FedGlobal ACH Payments for the Federal Reserve Retail Payments Office. She was responsible for developing the program's strategic direction, new product development and market outreach program. During this period, the availability of international payments over the ACH network grew from five to 34 countries.

Elizabeth also worked at Microfinance International Corporation where she helped expand the company's payment network and to implement mobile-initiated cross-border payments. Elizabeth has collaborated with a number of industry groups and has been a frequent presenter at conferences in the U.S. and abroad. She has extensive experience on payments issues in Latin America, especially Brazil and Mexico, Europe, Canada and Japan. Her work has also focused on the regulatory and compliance aspects of international payments.

"Elizabeth brings to Glenbrook deep experience in the regulatory aspects of payments services," said Russ Jones, a managing partner with Glenbrook. "Her insights into international payments will help guide our clients as they develop strategies for both domestic and cross-border payments."
