NES Financial recently completed its seventh consecutive annual audit based on the standards established by Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements No. 16 (SSAE 16), previously known as an SAS (News - Alert) Type II audit. The company is a provider of cloud-based sub-accounting technology and professional services aimed at banks and corporations.
The SSAE 16 Type II audit acts as a confirmation that NES Financial has submitted to an in-depth third-party examination of its control objectives and procedures throughout the company's operations. The audit was conducted by one of the country's top CPA firms and examined NES Financial's technology, operations and services over a number of industries such as 1031 exchanges, EB-5 and banking, to name a few. NES Financial has no obligation to adhere to SSAE 16 Type II audits but voluntarily submits to them anyway in order to demonstrate to its capability to its customers.
“Our customers choose NES Financial’s solutions because we bring the highest standards of security, transparency and compliance to the financial marketplace,” said Michael Halloran, president and CEO of NES Financial, in a press release. “The successful completion of the seventh consecutive audit of our internal processes and controls is a testament to our ongoing commitment to provide the most transparent, and secure environment for administering complex financial transactions.”
In August of last year, NES Financial was ranked in Inc. Magazine's 2011 Inc. 500|5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America, marking the first time the company appeared on the list. Companies are selected for the list based on revenue generated the previous year.
Earlier in 2011, revealed the results of a survey, entitled the "Where's My Money Survey," in which four out of five respondents working in banking, financial and other related industries said they are confident that they know where their money is and that it is safe.
