MasterCard's Enhanced SmartData Makes Expense Intelligence More Accessible and Actionable



As more and more mid-sized companies are expanding their footprint to global scale, they seek to gain access to consolidated, detailed expense information that can be easily integrated into their ERP and accounting systems. The enhanced smartdata.gen2 provides great improvements to expense reporting functionality, helping to drive greater efficiency, accountability and cost savings. A new analytics module allows to monitor programs graphically and dynamically with a just few clicks. In addition, the upgraded MasterCard Global Data Repository can now capture and distribute carbon scores, allowing interested corporations to track their estimated carbon footprint.

In a recent survey sponsored by MasterCard, SmartData was the ranked highest for satisfaction by issuers and end users. Respondents deemed smart data as the best tool for tracking and analyzing data, and was considered to be efficient when combined with good features and functionality and excellent customer support.

With the help of MasterCard Smart Data platform, spending data can be configured for multiple card programs and market segments, including purchasing, corporate, fleet and travel card programs, allowing for applications and insights to be customized and integrated for each company.
