Monitor, Troubleshoot, Optimize Mobile Devices with TEMS Monitor Master

The constantly evolving multivendor, multiformat and multienvironment mobile network landscape underscores the urgency for deployment of application testing, monitoring and optimization solutions. Understanding this need, Ascom (News - Alert) Network Testing announced the availability of TEMS Monitor

Master 9.0.

TEMS Monitor Master, part of Ascom Network's new benchmarking and monitoring product unit, is reportedly the first mobile application performance monitoring commercial solution for the Rich Communications Suite enhanced (RCS-e) application monitoring platform, said officials.

RCS-e is a standard driven by GSMA (News - Alert) that enables consumers to share videos, transfer files and instant message across any device, on any network, with anyone in their mobile address book. This new TEMS solution allows carriers to monitor, troubleshoot and measure the performance of RCS-e services.

That being so, carriers will be pushing across these services as an alternative to over-the-top services to attract customers. The fact that they can maintain a guaranteed service level for RCS-e with Ascom's TEMS solution will prove to be an added incentive and the primary differentiator.

RTU-5, a new probe that is fully compatible with existing TEMS Monitor Master installations, when used in combination with TEMS Automatic, enables users to test live high throughput services.

TEMS Monitor Master, when automatically imported into TEMS Discovery, helps engineers to resolve service quality issues and manage service performance trends.

Thus with the entire TEMS portfolio, Ascom Networking Testing has positioned itself to better address the needs of benchmarking customers and cater to the demands for solutions to verify the quality of network service.

"This new release also showcases a new level of cross-platform efficiencies in the TEMS portfolio, with hardware that can support multiple TEMS products and the enhanced ability to share IP from our world-leading radio and smartphone intellectual property with TEMS Monitor Master customers," said Peter Burman, head of benchmarking and monitoring at Ascom Network Testing.

Combined with Ascom's sustained investment in research and development and collaboration with standards organizations and telecom manufacturers, TEMS solution claims to be right at the vanguard of new technology support.
