Avema Acquires Datex's Telecom Expense Management Business

Avema (News - Alert), a global provider of telecom and wireless cost optimization software and services, recently announced in a press release that it has completed the acquisition of Datex's Telecom Expense Management (TEM) business. As a result of the acquisition, Datex’s solutions will now be enhanced with Avema's Advanced Vendor Management (AVM) cloud TEM software.

The Advanced Vendor Management (AVM) system delivers the infrastructure to manage client’s voice, data, and wireless processes and costs. The software includes a preliminary assessment of client’s voice, data, and wireless environments, AVM system and process setup, ongoing invoice entry and management, web-hosted software to access and maintain the telecommunications data, software training, and full support.

“This acquisition solidifies Avema as the most established TEM company in Canada,” said Roger Yang, CEO of Avema Corporation, in a statement. “By combining the capabilities and many years of expertise of the two organizations, we have established our company as the premier telecom management provider in Canada.”

AVM consolidates the telecommunications data in one place. The users can effectively and easily manage costs and the ever-changing inventory from any web browser. The department managers, administrators, accounting and procurement groups can easily view and analyze this data from any angle, without advanced computer or database skills.

Jim Dawson, CEO of Datex said “I am pleased to see the advancement of our TEM business division through Avema's acquisition. With a core business focus that is aligned with the services being provided to our clients, Avema is a perfect fit. It is crucial that our customers continue to receive the best TEM service, and I am confident that Avema will deliver it.”

In related news, Avema Corporation recently purchased Breakaway Services. Breakaway Services is a provider of managing telecommunications services, assets and expenses for corporations. It is an AOTMP top-10 ranked expense management provider. As per the deal, Breakaway Services will continue to function out of its Denver location and will become part of Avema Corporation.
