e2b Software, a business software developer, recently announced that it will further empower businesses by helping them take their custom software, databases, and spreadsheets to the cloud. The company is expanding its services by offering customized business applications designed specifically to suit individual needs and deployed using the latest Microsoft (News - Alert) technologies.

In a press release, e2b Software President Bill Henslee commented on how companies have relied for decades on home grown databases or Excel spreadsheets.

“These databases, custom spreadsheets, and disparate applications served their purpose but were often very expensive, limited only to internal employees, and most weren’t completely integrated with their other business systems or business processes,” he said.

He spoke of cloud computing being more than the wave of the future. Cloud computing has also helped the company provide affordable custom software that has a lower cost of ownership, deliver more quickly because of cloud technologies and make services accessible via the Web to anyone.

In addition to these benefits, e2b software is providing onshore development and consulting resources that overcome the challenges of language and also reduce the time zone. Customers can also protect their investment through source code escrow services.

Perhaps the biggest advantage lies in the fact that companies will no longer incur high costs due to purchase of hardware and ongoing maintenance and technical support.

Henslee differentiated the nature of e2b software from other software and said, “We provide businesses with a customized business application that is unique to them, designed to their specifications, and developed from the ground up with integration with their existing business systems.”
