eServGlobal Aids Nepal Telecom with Bill Payment Services



Nepal Telecom, one of the largest mobile network operators in Nepal with over six million subscribers, was recently offered bill payment services by eServGlobal (News - Alert), through which postpaid mobile users were provided convenient and efficient alternative for bill payment while simultaneously generating multiple benefits for the operator.

Nepal Telecom has been in partnership with eServGlobal since 2008, in which eServeGlobal took keen interest to provide all the initial requirements required for recharge technology to gradually enrich the service offering, in line with the demands of their subscriber base.

Through eServGlobal's solution, Nepal Telecom is able to offer both voucher and electronic recharge. The recent bill payment facility is now helping each of the 15,000 existing recharge point-of-sales agents to process postpaid bill payment easily.

"The results achieved within just a few months have far exceeded our expectations," said Vishnu Kasaju, Director MSD, Nepal Telecom. "The expertise and dedication of the eServGlobal team has produced a sophisticated solution which is now a core element of our offering."

Nepal Telecom officials said they picked eServGlobal's technology for their new project to recharge management system, which could unify all types of recharge for their prepaid services and connect different IN systems at the same time.

In addition, the innovative eServGlobal's technology is network agnostic and can easily interwork with any IN. The platform is said to have field proven references with key players in the industry and can easily managing hundreds of thousands of agents.

"We are committed to providing mobile operators with ways to continually enrich their service offering to increase the satisfaction of their subscriber base. The bill payment service has a strong return on investment. Converting subscribers from prepaid to post paid increases both customer retention and operator ARPU," said Craig Halliday, CEO at eServGlobal.

With 13 offices globally, eServGlobal provides full "end-to-end" and "any account to any account" Mobile Money Services and International Remittance Services.
