Macedonia's mobile operators will cut wholesale termination rates from August 1 this year, according to local news agency MakFax. Marijan Pejovski, spokesperson for the Macedonian Agency for Electronic Communications, said the reduction in wholesale prices for call termination would strengthen competition on the retail market, thus directly influencing the prices of mobile telephony services. He also added that all mobile operators in Macedonia would have the same prices within a couple of years. A public consultation on the regulator's draft decision on reducing mobile termination rates to 2013 is open until 14 July.
