(Turkish Daily News Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) Marcel Nosari was appointed the new Executive Chef of The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul, announced General ManagerRaul Salcido. He has been entrusted with management of the kitchen. A native of Australia and Switzerland, Marcel Nosari is no stranger to great culinary success. The foundation of his expertise comes from a sound educational and professional background with more than 30 years in the culinary industry. Nosari's accomplished career commenced in the haute kitchens of several hotels and restaurants in Australia, Korea, England, and Switzerland and dates back to 1978. Chef Nosari set out to pursue his professional career in Cyprus' deluxe resort Anassa, where he was a member of the pre-opening team as well. He next became Executive Chef at Palazzo Arzaga Hotel, a renovated palazzo from the 14th century. In 1999, he was back in Australia for the five-star exclusive deluxe property Hayman, where he built the strongest and most creative team in the culinary history of the resort. From 2001 to 2003, he was the Executive Chef of Swissotel Basel, Switzerland and then moved to Thailand, where he was in charge of the whole scope of culinary operations at the five-star Inter-Continental Hotel Bangkok. Prior to joining The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul, he was working as the Executive Chef of Nai Lert Park Swissotel, Bangkok, where he cooked for HM the King of Thailand, the Crown Prince and Princess of Thailand in the Sukhothai Palace, and royalty from all over the world in the Thai Government House, including the Emperor of Japan during his visit for Chain Rotisseur Dinner in 2006 at Ma Maison, the gourmet restaurant of Nai Lert Park Swissotel. He got his `Certification Professional de Cuisine' from Professional Cooking School, Switzerland and completed Executive Management,' Masters to Teach Apprentice Chefs,' and Gastronomic Professional Cooking' programs in Hotel School Luzerne.
