Movial and BroadSoft Ramp up Experience Engineering



Movial Applications Oy will be acquired by BroadSoft (News - Alert) Inc. subject to the satisfaction of various customary closing conditions. A definitive agreement for the same has been signed by BroadSoft. An announcement in this regard has been made by the Experience Engineering company, Movial (News - Alert). Movial Applications Oy is an affiliate of Movial which is focused on client products. Software development and user experience services business will now be the focus of Movial due to the acquisition.

Operators will continue to be serviced by Movial with IP Communications device solutions on Android (News - Alert), other Linux based systems and Open source IMS solutions. Optimized user experiences will be unlocked by Movial by working with SOCs on hardware acceleration capabilities. Precision engineered device software, cloud services and system integration services are designed and delivered by Movial. Value added services and differentiated end user experiences are therefore provided to global OEMs and ODMs.

The design and engineering of innovative servitization across vertical industries is the key new growth area for the company. The vertical industries include telecom, electronics, manufacturing, Internet and healthcare. In a release, Jari Ala-Ruona (News - Alert), CEO of Movial, said, "Services are becoming increasingly fundamental to hardware and software, and we have seen a significant uptick in companies turning to Movial's user experience experts to help them design and engineer differentiated service components. Movial is uniquely equipped to meet this growing demand for servitization."

According to Ala-Ruona, user-centric research and insight are provided by the company’s highly skilled designers. These designers also provide service offering development and prototyping. The real-world user needs are therefore met by these new services. Customer loyalty is also inspired through these new services.

With a goal of designing and engineering cutting edge device UIs and compelling IP communications services, Movial expects further collaboration with BroadSoft. BroadSoft's products will be therefore expanded to new devices. New IPTV and IMS experiences will be also offered by Movial to operators through its service design practice.
