TelPlexus Acquired by Osmose Utilities Services Inc.

With the acquisition of TelPlexus, a company firmly committed to designing and deploying next generation networks, Osmose Utilities Services Inc., is expected to be able to offer enhanced services to its customers.

TelPlexus will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. Rick Peppers, founder of TelPlexus, who will continue to serve as president of the company, was excited to be a part of the Osmose family and the many opportunities that the partnership would bring.

According to Peppers, the partnership would ensure that both companies were at the forefront of unprecedented expansion within the industry and believed that they would be well positioned to assist their customers.

As TelPlexus provided all facets of planning and engineering to deliver fiber-to-the-premise Services, Childress believed that its expertise and experience with broadband infrastructure and fiber deployment would help position Osmose to offer utilities services directed at achieving their smart grid goals.

Both companies had the same commitment toward providing customized and comprehensive solutions to customers.

In a press release, Ron Childress, Senior Vice President of Business Development for Osmose said, “TelPlexus is an integral part of the current transformation within the telecommunications industry, helping rural carriers update their networks in order to compete in today’s high-speed markets.”

TMCnet reported that Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. achieved a significant safety milestone by passing five consecutive years without a lost workday injury case. Despite the hazards often associated with natural disaster recovery services, Osmose employees have logged more than 13 million safe work hours in the past five years!
