Latest Upgrade of Ensim's Provisioning and Application Management Tools Software Available

In order to give organizations more control to enforce compliance and security directives without requiring the delays and costs associated with custom programming, Ensim (News - Alert) announced the immediate availability of the latest upgraded Ensim Unify Enterprise Edition, Version 2.8. , which provides substantial enhancements to this policy-based enforcement engine. Ensim is the leading provider of fine-grain user provisioning and change management software.

Ensim's award-winning suite of provisioning and application management tools allows compliance policy enforcement at the feature level for the core collaboration infrastructure that includes Active Directory (AD), Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, and Office Communications Server (OCS), as well as mobility applications like BlackBerry (News - Alert) (BES). Ensim Unify Enterprise Version 2.8 expands its proven role-administration capability to more easily allow organizations to implement and automatically enforce their existing compliance and security policies.
Key features of the Version 2.8 release include, “Role Administration & Security” -- The security and policy enforcement engine underlying Ensim Unify has been further enhanced with updates in role administration. The granular role-based delegated administration capability used by Ensim Unify enforces delegation of administrative rights, as well as pushes the delegation model into native management interfaces.
“User Management Updates” -- Administrators can now submit extensible search criterions to the system to retrieve user data based on a role, provisioned template or any other Active Directory attribute.
“Windows 7 Compatibility for Password Reset Tool” -- Administrators can push a password-reset tool to all Windows 7 desktops, enabling users to reset their password from their own workstation without any administrator intervention. Additionally, password reset operations can be configured to unlock the account and several other password policy enhancements have been added, enabling administrators to securely enforce password reset policies.
