Chatham Financial, a risk financial risk management advisory and technology solutions firm, has unveiled ChathamDirect for FX risk management.
The cloud-based package, designed for treasury teams, allows foreign currency exchange traders to manage risk on their portfolios.
"We believe the best technology solutions are developed from the practitioner's perspective, which is why we're putting our more than 20 years of experience in the debt and derivatives market into a holistic, easy-to-access technology platform,” Michael Bontrager, founder and CEO of Chatham Financial, said. "Whether a company requires a technology solution at their fingertips, a trusted, independent advisor for structuring risk programs, or a combination of both, Chatham Financial can span the spectrum of needs."
The package offers exposure management capabilities. Investors can look at cash flows and balance sheets across their portfolios, as well as run “what if” calculations and plan hedging strategies using powerful analytics.
The software can also integrate with trading systems to execute trades easily and quickly. Investors can also use Chatham’s credit valuation adjustments (CVAs) to make sure their investments are fairly valued by the marketplace.
At the same time, they can make sure their investments follow proper accounting protocols for hedging investments, including ASC (News - Alert) 815 (FAS 133). ChathamDirect for FX risk management also includes tools for hedge accounting relationships, hedge designation documentation, journal entries and effectiveness testing.
"ChathamDirect is the only multi-tenant SaaS (News - Alert) financial risk management solution developed by independent, market-leading expert consultants," Jose Sabastro, product director, risk management technologies, for Chatham, said. "Our technology is designed, used and supported by Chatham practitioners who perform more than $1 billion worth of transactions daily."
Chatham is also one of the clients of Interactive Intelligence (News - Alert), a firm specializing in VoIP communications. Interactive Intelligence recently opened a local regional intelligence center in Denver. The company opened the center in order to serve customers in the Denver area migrating to VoIP technology.
