Palisade Unveils DecisionTools Suite 6.0

Recently, Palisade released an updated version of DecisionTools Suite package for Microsoft (News - Alert) Excel. With the help of this latest version, firms across numerous industry sectors can utilize quantitative analytics to analyze risk and make smarter decisions to decrease it.

The DecisionTools Suite from Palisade is an integrated set of programs for risk analysis and decision making, and runs in Microsoft Excel. The DecisionTools Suite consists of @RISK for Monte Carlo simulation, PrecisionTree for decision trees, and TopRank for “what if” sensitivity analysis.

Apart from Evolver and RISKOptimizer for optimization, the DecisionTools Suite is armed with StatTools for statistical analysis and forecasting, NeuralTools for predictive neural networks.

The DecisionsTools Suite allows companies to make decisions in a variety of business disciplines. The DecisionTools Suite 6.0 now offers new versions of PrecisionTree, RISKOptimizer, TopRank, Evolver, NeuralTools and StatTools, and is based on Palisade's risk analysis software @RISK.

Combined, the products offer advanced Monte Carlo simulation, decision trees, optimization, statistical and neural network analysis – all from a common Excel platform.

“Decision makers benefit from the DecisionTools Suite's ability to tell them not just what might happen in a given situation, but the probabilities of different scenarios occurring," said Randy Heffernan, vice president at Palisade. "This is powerful insight that it is impossible to gain from a standard spreadsheet.”

International business school, INSEAD, recently selected Palisade's DecisionTools Suite to offer decision support software to students at its campuses in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Informed business decisions should be an integral part of MBA training, and the move reflects that modeling and data analysis is a strong part of that.
